Dr. Cameron Evans, D.O. is a Michigan native and has recently moved to the St. Louis area to practice as a cataract and refractive surgeon. He attended Hope College in Holland, MI for his undergraduate degree where he received a Bachelors in Chemistry. After college, Dr. Evans came to Missouri and earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville. He completed his internship and residency at Ohio University in Dayton, OH. He served as the Chief Ophthalmologic Resident, training residents in academics and surgical practices. Upon completing his residency Dr. Evans moved to Grand Rapids, MI where he specialized in Refractive Surgery, removing patients’ need for glasses and contacts at almost any age utilizing many different surgical techniques.
Dr. Evans is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the Refractive Surgery Alliance and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has a history of research utilizing laser-guided surgery to accurately place astigmatism-correcting lenses. Dr. Evans has traveled to Belize as part of a mission trip to perform cataract surgery on individuals who would otherwise be unable to receive surgery.
